9/12 Syndrome

A large group must collectively wittness a colossal tragedy with great loss of human life. Many individuals from the group will suffer at different times from post traumatic stress disorder.  The result is that the original  group can not let go. Fear sensitivity is heightened by periodic incidents that may but more likely will not create anything on the same scale as the original tragedy. Psychologically, every day is like the day after the tragedy minus the original trauma. It is not yet known whether time is a cure.
